Dr. Biniyam Tefera Deressa to Participate in ASGCR 2026: Advancing Cancer Research in Africa
Hope Oncology & Surgical Center is pleased to announce that Dr. Biniyam Tefera Deressa, Clinical Oncologist and Co-Founder, will participate in the 14th Annual Symposium on Global Cancer Research (ASGCR 2026), taking place virtually from September 15–17, 2026.
Organized by the U.S. National Cancer Institute’s Center for Global Health and its partners, ASGCR 2026 brings together global experts to advance discussions on cancer research, cancer care, global oncology, and capacity building.
Dr. Biniyam will participate in a plenary discussion on cancer research gaps in Africa and opportunities for stronger capacity-building partnerships, contributing perspectives from the African oncology context.
His participation reflects Hope Oncology’s commitment to clinical excellence, research, continuous learning, multidisciplinary collaboration, and strengthening oncology capacity in Ethiopia and across Africa.
