International Oncology Expert Visits Hope Oncology & Surgical Center to Advance Supportive Cancer Care in Ethiopia

Hope Oncology & Surgical Center was honored to welcome Dr. William Dale, MD, PhD, FASCO, a globally recognized expert in geriatric oncology, supportive care medicine, and palliative care, during his visit to our center in Addis Ababa.
Dr. Dale serves as the George Tsai Family Chair in Geriatric Oncology, Professor, and Vice Chair for Academic Affairs in Supportive Care Medicine at City of Hope, USA, one of the leading cancer care institutions worldwide.
During his visit, Dr. Dale met with the oncology and multidisciplinary teams at Hope Oncology & Surgical Center for an insightful discussion focused on advancing comprehensive cancer care and supportive oncology services in Ethiopia.
The discussions emphasized the critical role of:
- Cancer pain management and symptom control
- Palliative care integration throughout the cancer journey
- Improving quality of life for patients with cancer
